Effective September 19, 2026
These are the terms for using radialtimers.com, a timer site built and run by Filbert Ephraim Wu, called "the maker" below. Using the site means you accept them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past, so they are short. What the site stores about you is a separate page: the privacy page.
radialtimers.com gives you countdown timers drawn as rings, cycle timers for pomodoro and intervals, a stopwatch, date countdowns, shared rooms that put a group on one clock, a public leaderboard, and an embeddable timer card. All of it is free, and all of it works without an account. Nothing on the site is for sale.
An account is optional. Sign-in is with Google, and that is the only sign-in method. An account is what keeps your time across devices, puts you on the leaderboard, tracks your streak, and gives you an invite link. Everything else works the same signed out.
Your account is tied to your Google account, so keeping that secure is on you. One account is for one person. If you sign in on a device that already kept time signed out, that time joins your account on its first sync, as the privacy page describes.
You can delete your account at any time from the account dialog on the front page: one click to arm, one to confirm. Deleting it removes your synced totals, your timer runs, your email address, and your place on the leaderboard. Time already folded into the anonymous community totals stays there, because it was never attached to a name. The maker can also close an account that breaks these terms.
Use the site as a person keeping time. Do not send automated traffic that hammers the site, fake timer time to climb the leaderboard, create accounts to farm invites, or interfere with rooms you do not host. Do not use the site to break the law or to harm anyone.
You may embed the timer card and use the stream overlay on your own pages and streams; that is what they are for. You may not present the site as your own work or remove the wordmark that links back to it.
The site lets you type a few things: a room name, a board name for the leaderboard, and suggestions with an optional email address. Those words are yours. By entering them you let the site show them where the feature shows them: a board name appears on the leaderboard and on the front page's list of who is keeping time right now, a room name appears to everyone who opens the room link, and a suggestion goes to the maker. Keep names decent; the maker may rename or remove a name that is offensive or impersonates someone. Ideas sent through the suggestion box or by email can be used to improve the site without any obligation to you.
A supporter badge on the leaderboard is earned by inviting two friends who sign in, or by signing in with a school address. It is a badge, not a purchase, and it buys nothing: the site is free for everyone. A badge earned by gaming the invite count can be taken back.
Parts of the site rely on other companies: Google for sign-in, YouTube for the videos that some timer cards can play, and Cloudflare for hosting. Their terms apply to their parts, and what each of them sees is described on the privacy page.
The site is offered as it is, without a promise that it will always work or always be there. A timer runs on your device's clock inside your browser, and a sleeping laptop, a throttled background tab, a muted tab, or a closed page can delay a chime or miss it. Do not rely on the site where a missed alarm could hurt someone or cost you something you cannot get back, such as medication, safety checks, or legal deadlines. Data can be lost; keep your own record of anything that matters.
To the extent the law allows, the maker is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or from not being able to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid to use the site, which is nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law permits.
Features can change, pause, or go away, and the site as a whole can shut down; there is no obligation to keep any feature. Changes that matter are announced in the site's News. These terms can change too; the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and using the site after that date means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the maker lives, and disputes are settled in the courts there, except where the law of the place where you live gives you protections that cannot be taken away.
Questions about these terms go to contact@radialtimers.com, or see the contact page.
